When people think about detectives, they often think that being a detectives we are above the law. We have access to any data we want and this is not the case. We often receive phone calls in our office asking for things such as phone hacking, hacking into people’s social media accounts or even pinging someone’s phone location. These are not services we provide.

We have also noticed an increase in individuals stating they have spoken to other investigators who have told them they can do the above. If you are being told you can be provided with the above services stay well clear.
Phone forensics can include attempting to retrieve deleted data from a handset. This can include text messages, images and other forms of data.
If you wish for phone forensics to be conducted, the only legal way to do this is if the third party consents to their phone being analysed. We require full written consent and verbal confirmation that they are happy for us to carry this out.
